One of my few attempts at exploring and producing virtual hologram concerts, I introduced ESTRA, a 3D-modeled character, as the focal point of the experience.
For the visual aspect of the piece, both characters were modelled and textured using Blender, and the animations were motion captured using Rokoko’s Vision motion capture tool.
Transitioning to the audio aspect of this piece, I mixed and mastered a cover of Britney Spear’s Hold it Against Me in FL Studio. The vocal aspects of the piece were created using UTAU, a Japanese vocal synthesizer application. I recorded vocal tracks of my own voice, adjusted the pitch and reassembled the vocal tracks to form a voicebank, providing ESTRA with a bright, clear female voice with a crisp and expressive tone.
